Sara Kate Ellis is a writer living in Tokyo.   She is a 2011 Lambda fellow in genre fiction and a master of seat nabbing during crowded commutes. Her essays, stories and journalism have appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle, Ally McBeal, Rainbow Network, Bete Noire, Allegory, The Red Penny Papers and Sequart’s Teenagers from the Future.

She also likes soba, loves her Asagaya neighborhood, and is on a CD buying kick. She hasn’t done that in a very long time and suspects it’s a midlife crisis.

If so, she’s enjoying it very much.
